The amount of time it takes to process an order depends on the time the order is placed and the stock available. Item is expected to arrive soon and will process when it arrives. This item is out of stock or has not arrived yet. As soon as the item is back in stock the order will be filled and you will be notified via E-Mail. Not Shipped. Instructor requests you purchase one title or the other; not both. This code is seen when a Customer has chosen two different versions of the same textbook but it is only required by the professor to have one version or the other. You ordered multiple copies of this book. Only one copy was processed. When a customer has selected several copies of the same item this message is displayed. Removed from order. This item is included with another item in your order. One of the items on the order (usually an Access Code or aplia) is included in a package that the customer has also requested.
15. Can I pay with a gift card? How?
Yes, you can! Once you reach the Payment information section of your online order: select the gift card option located under Payment Type. If you have a physical Gift card enter the 19 Digit number located on the back of the Gift Card. Scratch off the back of the Gift card to locate the pin number. If you have chosen an E-Gift card, the serial number and the pin number are located in two auto-generated emails that are sent to you after purchasing the E-Gift Card. You will also be asked for credit card information as well. The gift card will be applied to the purchase first and the credit card will then be used to cover any additional charges beyond the value of the gift card.
16. Why do I see a charge of $1.00 on my card?
When placing an order, an authorization hold for $1.00 will take place on your card. We will only charge you for what items we actually process for your order. If an item is back-ordered, you won't be charged until that item arrives. This may mean that your order is processed in multiple shipments.

Since the University Store is owned and operated by Towson University, all of the money spent in the store goes back into the university to directly benefit you.
2. Who decides which textbooks are required for a course?

So please bring your course schedule with you to the store because it contains the course and section numbers that are needed to identify the required textbooks. The Textbook Department is located at the back of the University Store and is arranged alphabetically by author. Faculty names are not used to identify courses and textbooks because faculty are sometimes reassigned.
5. What is the recommended best time to buy textbooks?
It is best to order textbooks as soon as you receive your schedule. The sooner an order is placed the better the availability of the books.
6. May I reserve textbooks for pick-up over the phone or online?

The cover and pages of the NEW book must be intact, uncreased, and unsoiled. Books purchased shrinkwrapped must be returned with the shrinkwrap intact. If the books were purchased with a credit card and you want your account credited, you must have the credit card or credit card information (account number and expiration date). You also have the option of receiving a store credit. For dropped classes, textbooks may be returned within the first four weeks* of classes. In addition to the criteria listed above, the "drop" will be verified online. *For the actual date of textbook refund deadlines for the current semester, check the message on your cash register sales receipt or the "Textbook Return Policy" section of this site.
9. Does the University Store buy textbooks back? How much is paid for them?
The University Store buys used textbooks back daily during regular store hours throughout the year and also has major Book Buybacks during final exams of both fall and spring semesters. The actual value of the used books sold at the end-of-semester Book Buybacks is determined during the Buyback transaction as follows: The University Store pays up to 50% of the NEW book price for current texts and up to 33% of the NEW book price for current edition mass market books (pocket sized paperbacks) if: 1. A book order for the upcoming semester has been received by the store from the faculty for the title and 2. The store needs additional copies to meet anticipated customer demand. If the University Store does not need your book and it's a current edition, a wholesaler may offer 10%-30% of the NEW book price. The prices offered for textbooks during the Daily Book Buyback are based on a national book wholesaler's buying guide and will fluctuate with demand. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE UNIVERSITY STORE BUYS BACK ALL TEXTBOOKS INCLUDING TEXTBOOKS NOT PURCHASED AT OUR STORE.
