Textbook Rental Program
The University Store at Towson University has a textbook rental program. The rental textbook program provides another option for students looking to save money on their textbook costs. Rental textbooks are available for selected courses only, but it is our pledge to offer the largest number of Rental textbooks possible!
RENTAL: Supplemental materials are not guaranteed (access codes, DVDs, workbooks).
Students opting to rent their textbooks must complete a rental agreement form that includes the following items:
- The rental textbook is the property of the University Store, Towson University. In accepting the terms of the rental agreement, the student accepts responsibility to use the book and return it to the University Store in acceptable condition. (Light to moderate highlighting and underlining is acceptable, no mildew, wet or torn books) Determination of acceptable condition is at the discretion of the University Store.
- The textbook rental fee is refundable only if the book is returned to the University Store by the posted textbook return date for the term.
- The rented textbook must be returned by the last day of final exams for the term it was rented for. If the rental textbook is lost or stolen, you will be required to pay for a replacement copy as well as a $15 non-refundable late fee for the rental book.
- Students opting to rent a textbook authorize the University Store to charge their student account for a replacement copy. if the book is not returned by the rental return deadline, or is returned with damage.
Textbook Rental due dates:
- SPRING: May 21, 2013
- SUMMER: August 02, 2013
- FALL: December 18, 2013
