NEW Textbook Rental Program NEW
The University Store at Towson University will offer a new textbook rental program for select courses. The rental textbook program provides another option for students looking to save money on their textbook costs. Rental textbooks are available for select courses only, and in limited quantities.
Students opting to rent their textbooks must complete a rental agreement form that includes the following items:
- The rental textbook is the property of the University Store, Towson University. In accepting the terms of the rental agreement, the student accepts responsibility to use the book and return it to the University Store in acceptable condition. (Light to moderate highlighting and underlining is acceptable, no mildew, wet or torn books) Determination of acceptable condition is at the discretion of the University Store.
- The textbook rental fee is refundable only if the book is returned to the University Store by the posted textbook return date for the term.
- The rented textbook must be returned by the last day of final exams for the term it was rented for. If the rental textbook is lost or stolen, you will be required to pay for a NEW copy as a replacement for the rental book.
- Students opting to rent a textbook authorize the University Store to charge their student account for a NEW book if the book is not returned by the rental return deadline, or is returned with damage.

Important notice to returning customers: If you registered your account using your towson.edu email address, then you must re-register using the following email address format: example3@students.towson.edu (example3@towson.edu would be an incorrect format) If the correct email address format is not used, you will be unable to receive order confirmations, password requests or pick-up & shipment notices.
NEW and USED Book Preferences
- Books with CDs are available NEW only.
- If USED book is out-of-stock, a NEW book will be substituted.
- Prices on confirmation copy are based on NEW prices.

The daily book buyback is currently available during regular store hours.
- Prices paid at the Daily Book Buyback are wholesale values based on national demand.
- The University Store advises that you do your consumer research before selling your books to get the best price possible. Ask the competition for their buyback policy before selling your books.
- Photo ID is required to protect you from book theft.
